Full Job Description
Essential Functions:
Design specialized equipment for windshield fabrication
Manage capital projects and oversee the projects from the proposal stage all the way to full implementation
Create plant layout drawings that will maximize efficiency and improve safety of plant work areas
Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
Demonstrate effective organizational skills and handling multiple tasks independently with limited supervision.
Support for all plant safety initiatives.
Instigate studies and actions to resolve technical problems, reduce waste and improve team performance.
Assist with mechanical improvements through TPM, P.M., and Capital Expenditure Projects.
Maintain/update mechanical and site drawings using AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
Assist in the commissioning of new plant equipment and to ensure that the introduction into the facility is handled efficiently and with minimal disruption to production
Some travel may be required; approximately twice per year may be required.

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 7 or more years related experience.
