They work closely with customers, project managers, manufacturing teams, and other engineers to create practical, cost-effective, and safe designs that meet project requirements and industry standards. .
Job Responsibilities:- Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
- Analyze design requirements and project specifications.
- Create 3D models, layouts, and fabrication drawings.
- Perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and project teams to support production and installation.
- Review and revise designs based on testing, customer feedback, and project changes.
- Conduct design reviews and troubleshoot engineering issues.
- Prepare bills of materials (BOMs), technical documentation, and reports.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
Position RequirementsQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of engineering design experience (entry-level positions may accept internships or co-op experience).
- Proficiency with CAD software and engineering design tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to visit manufacturing facilities, construction sites, or project locations as needed.
- Ability to sit, stand, and use computer equipment for extended periods.
