We are currently offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus for Mechanic Technician Advisor new hires.

Job Title: Mechanic Technician Advisor - Rental

Location: Myersville, Maryland

Shift: 1st

Starting Compensation Range: $38.36 - $48.22 per hour

What You Will Do:
  • Provide oversight and guidance to technicians on daily workloads and maintenance priorities to ensure technicians are tasked in a manner that meets factory and customer service standards
  • In absence of Service Supervisor, direct all activities in area
  • Perform regular maintenance and emergency troubleshooting repairs
  • Monitor progress of jobs to keep on schedule and maintain orderly flow of work
  • Ensure service work gets completed in order of priority
  • Assist supervisor in identifying training needs for area personnel and scheduling training classes
  • Perform regular maintenance and emergency troubleshooting repairs
  • Gather information from SIS, CAT, WTY, DBS as needed to help in diagnosis and repair and determine warranty
  • Ensure technicians follow CAT diagnostic procedures and complete needed warranty reports
  • Assist less experienced technicians, as needed
  • Provide technicians with a positive role model through effective leadership and strong work ethics
  • Write service reports that accurately document diagnosis and repairs performed
  • Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts lists, and time cards in an accurate and timely manner
  • Review service reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Confer with management and supervisory personnel to resolve issues and complaints within work force
  • Check out equipment prior to shipment; check in equipment upon return
  • Open work order segments for additional repairs and notify Service Advisor
  • Assist technicians in preparing estimates to ensure it includes all aspects of the repair
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum five years' experience with heavy construction equipment
  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and expert level troubleshooting skills; able to accurately diagnose and repair equipment
  • Occasional operation of heavy equipment
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate employees
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and manage time effectively
  • Self-directed with ability to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software
  • Willingness to work shifts as needed, including days, nights, and/or weekends to meet customer needs
