Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc. is a food and beverage company based in Oakland, California. The company produces and distributes ice cream and frozen yogurt products under the Dreyer's and Edy's brands. Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc. was founded in 1928 by William Dreyer and Joseph Edy, and grew to become one of the largest ice cream companies in the United States. In 2002, Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc. was acquired by Nestle, a Swiss multinational food and beverage company.
