Job Summary
The Missile Defense Agency Account Executive leads strategic growth initiatives focused on the Department of War by identifying, shaping, and securing new business opportunities across the Missile Defense Agency portfolio. This role drives high-value capture efforts and aligns account strategy with enterprise priorities, ensuring a cohesive and differentiated approach to customer engagement. Working across business development and program teams, the Account Executive integrates market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive positioning to influence acquisition outcomes. The position requires sustained engagement with senior government stakeholders and industry partners to anticipate mission priorities and align solutions to emerging needs. Success in this role is demonstrated through measurable growth in pipeline, awards, and long-term account positioning.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive account strategy aligned to Missile Defense Agency priorities, budget cycles, and acquisition pathways.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with mid- and senior-level government stakeholders to strengthen account positioning and insight into mission needs.
  • Lead identification, qualification, and shaping of new business opportunities, supporting large, prime, full-and-open pursuits.
  • Align internal business development, capture, and program teams to deliver integrated solutions and consistent customer messaging.
  • Provide strategic input into proposal development, pricing strategies, and solution positioning based on customer intelligence and market conditions.
  • Drive achievement of business unit growth objectives, including pipeline development, bookings, and revenue targets.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with industry leaders to enhance competitiveness and expand solution offerings.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform capture strategies and identify emerging opportunities over a multi-year horizon.
  • Assess customer trends, mission evolution, and funding shifts to inform strategic planning and campaign development.
  • Support resolution of customer and internal delivery issues through coordination with program and operational leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of mission and business requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline
  • 18+ years of experience supporting missile defense programs
  • 12+ years of direct experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency
  • Experience with federal acquisition processes, budgeting, and program lifecycle management
  • Existing relationships with Missile Defense Agency leadership and key stakeholders
  • U.S. citizenship with active Secret or higher security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline
  • Prior experience leading large, prime capture efforts exceeding $100M
