Job Description

We're seeking an experienced MRP Planner to drive planning excellence within our facility. You'll be the critical link between production, engineering, procurement, and order management-ensuring materials, resources, and capacities align seamlessly with customer delivery commitments. This role offers the opportunity to optimize supply chain operations, solve complex scheduling challenges, and make a direct impact on customer satisfaction in a dynamic, MRP-driven environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production plans aligned with customer need dates, forecasts, and available resources
  • Process daily MRP/DRP messages, create and release work orders after clearing material shortages
  • Schedule new sales orders by assessing material and capacity availability
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify production requirements and potential bottlenecks
  • Monitor material availability and work with Procurement to expedite critical items and prevent disruptions
  • Manage expedite/defer/cancel requests and communicate updates to order management and customers
  • Evaluate overdue orders, aging work orders, and adjust schedules as necessary
  • Identify supply chain risks proactively and collaborate with Procurement and Sourcing to eliminate them
  • Ensure work order plans comply with customer-specific quality plans and Third Party Inspection (TPI) requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering to incorporate ECN changes into production schedules
  • Provide regular planning metrics reports to management and recommend process improvements to reduce lead times
  • Maintain compliance with all HSE policies, quality standards, and corporate governance requirements


Skills and Education
  • 5+ years of planning/scheduling experience in an MRP-driven manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Solid understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) principles
  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency plus MS Word and Outlook skills
  • Proven organizational, project management, and leadership capabilities
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university
  • Professional certifications: CPP, APICS CSCP, APICS CPIM, or Sourcing Certificate
  • Knowledge of Notification Management, Work Order Management, and Maintenance planning processes
  • Travel: Up to 10% domestic and potentially international travel
