About This RoleAs Material Control & Accountability (MC&A) Program Manager at General Matter, you'll build and lead the program that controls and accounts for every quantity of special nuclear material (SNM) we receive, process, store, and transfer. You'll own MC&A end-to-end: measurement and measurement control, item control and physical inventory, material balance closure, regulatory reporting, and audit and inspection response. You'll write the program and its procedures yourself rather than inherit them.
Most MC&A careers are spent maintaining a program someone else designed decades ago. This role is a rare chance to design one from first principles for a new U.S. enrichment facility. You'll work alongside the engineers designing the plant, so accountability is built into the process and equipment from the start instead of added afterward. Your calls on material balance areas, key measurement points, and accounting systems will shape how General Matter operates for decades, and will decide whether we're ready when our first feed material arrives.
If you seek high impact and are excited by fast-paced, intense, Skunkworks-style projects, we encourage you to apply to join our team.
