POSITION SUMMARY, DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Position Summary
Why do clients pay very large amounts of money to hire a consulting or professional services firm, and how do they pick one amongst all of them? We don't bake a cake that they can see before they buy, or build a car they can take for a test drive. Yet, they tend to perceive value in consulting services, and reputation, trust, relationship building, and consistent high quality deliverables is key in their decision making.
We are looking for a Marketing Manager who is passionate about marketing professional services and is energized by the opportunity to shape Sapling's brand as it grows from a boutique firm into a Canadian professional services powerhouse. Our next big milestone is to triple our business, and this role will be instrumental in achieving our goal.
We are a boutique consultancy that differentiates itself from the big firms with best-in-class work and a strong functional expertise, and we have no interest in diluting our brand. In this role, you will work on understanding our clients needs and services, and find creative ways to strengthen and differentiate our brand and capture a larger market share.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on leader that brings significant marketing experience, strong business acumen, and experience within consulting, professional services, or high-performance services based businesses.
We're looking above all for someone with a longer-term outlook who wants to join like-minded people in building a successful company founded on that principle of creating high-impact value for clients. Ultimately, you will play a large role in a small but growing team with big ambitions for the future.
