ABOUT THE ROLE

The Marketing Communications Manager will lead high impact marketing and communication initiatives that elevate brand visibility, strengthen internal and external engagement, and support enterprise wide business objectives. The Manager will develop and drive overall communication strategies, including content creation, digital media, branding initiatives, and lead team members while ensuring alignment with corporate goals and brand standards.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive, enterprise-wide content strategy from concept through execution to drive brand awareness and increase engagement while ensuring alignment with corporate goals and brand standards
  • Utilize data-driven insights to identify successes and gaps in communication strategies and initiatives, refining and prioritizing the most impactful approaches
  • Maximize the team's use of current tools and technology, while proactively evaluating emerging platforms, AI, and vendor solutions to drive greater efficiency and value
  • Set creative direction, establish priorities, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality content across all channels and team members
  • Serve as lead writer for internal corporate communications, including company-wide announcements, leadership messaging, and employee-facing content
  • Write, edit and refine compelling marketing, investor relations, corporate communications and technical content for a variety of content streams
  • Oversee strategy, composition, and updates for corporate website content
  • Develop and lead social media strategy across all channels
  • Ghostwrite executive communications, investor scripts, annual report, and press releases in support of investor relations activities for quarterly and year-end reporting
  • Conduct market and industry research to inform annual corporate strategy reporting and planning documentation
  • Contribute written content and oversee strategy and execution of marketing brochures, videos, industry applications, newsletters, proposal content, etc.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to proactively identify storytelling opportunities, enhance communication effectiveness, and proactively generate creative strategies that expand brand visibility and market presence
  • Build, develop and lead high-performing marketing and communications team, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration and innovation
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive corporate communications experience with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role managing direct reports
  • Proven leadership experience with demonstrated ability to motivate and direct teams in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with CRM platforms and project management tools- preferred
  • Construction (A/E/C) industry experience - strongly preferred

Preferred Education
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field; equivalent combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Portfolio of work showing excellent writing, editing and storytelling across various formats
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable working with executive leadership and cross functional teams
  • Proficiency with all MS Office; familiarity with CRM tools with ability to learn new technologies at a reasonable pace
  • Ability to identify meaningful data to measure effectiveness of campaign strategies, define relevant metrics, and data and translate insights

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary $90,000- $120,000 / year
    • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
