Base Compensation Range:

Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus and some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining pay, we consider various factors including, but not limited to, skills and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY: Manages performance of a full-service branch focusing on business development, building and deepening deposit and loan relationships while championing and leading the Bank's needs-based sales and service culture. Establishes business relationships and ensures Webster Five visibility in the local community. Management responsibility for the branch team. Adheres to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engages in small business focused calling efforts and active market profiling. Exemplifies and delivers consistent sales and exceptional customer service. Participates in daily branch operational responsibilities.
  • Markets to current and prospective customers hosting branch events and actively participating in business and civic organizations. Develops and builds a network for referrals to Bank partners.
  • Champions and builds the internal sales and service culture throughout the branch. Leads and coaches team in prospective and existing customer outreach efforts to meet/exceed assigned sales goals.
  • Actively listens to customers' complaints/concerns, researches, and resolves unique and complex issues.
  • Provides guidance and uses strong judgment when making risk-based decisions.
  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships between the branch and internal business partners.
  • Leads new hire activities for new branch team members. Ensures that branch team members are trained in all position responsibilities, as well as provided ongoing coaching and development in sales and service.
  • Holds regular staff meetings with the goals of enhancing teamwork, skill building, disseminating accurate and timely product and service information, and focusing the team on shared goals.
  • Proficient on all policies, procedures, as and technology used in day-to-day operations of branch.
  • Responsible and accountable for overall branch audit while leveraging operational and sales leadership within the branch for compliance with their specific areas of responsibility.
  • Through leadership of the Branch Operations Manager, ultimately accountable and responsible for ensuring branch's adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Excellent communication, sales and customer service skills focused on relationship building. Exhibits strong judgement, is a self-starter, and displays an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial spirit. Experience in leading and coaching teams, ensuring quality customer service, employee growth and development, and achievement of assigned metrics and goals. Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software applications. Ability to learn and adapt to latest information and technology platforms. NMLS license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is often performed in an office environment, with frequent interruptions. Ability to remain in a stationary position, operate a computer, and move inside the workplace, outside the workplace for external business purposes and exchange information. Must be able to positively discern and identify an individual. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekend and evening work. Required to travel locally.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related discipline.

MINIMUM PRIOR EXPERIENCE: 7-10 years in banking or a sales and service environment with management experience.
