Full Job Description
Eaton's Protection, Control, & Solutions Group is currently seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager. This position is located in our Arecibo, PR site as an onsite role.

What you'll do:

The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for leading production operations across multiple manufacturing processes, including Molding, Screw Machine, Punch Press, Brazing, Plating, and Assembly operations. This role drives operational excellence by ensuring production schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, productivity targets, and customer commitments are achieved while supporting Eaton's business objectives and continuous improvement culture. The position provides strategic leadership for production teams and develops future leaders within the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute production strategies aligned with the plant's long-term objectives.
• Lead manufacturing operations to achieve quality, capacity, cost, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Drive improvements in operational performance, including scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, productivity enhancement, and on-time delivery performance.
• Manage daily production activities and workforce planning to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and product specifications.
• Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives and World Class Manufacturing practices.
• Support localization and cost reduction projects.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
• Develop leadership capabilities and succession plans within the operations organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence metrics and plant objectives.
• Lead production activities to meet business growth requirements and customer demand.
• Promote compliance with Eaton policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Environmental, Health & Safety Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Promote and sustain Eaton's MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety and Health) culture and requirements.
• Ensure team members complete required EHS training programs.
• Provide necessary resources to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
• Drive initiatives that protect employees, equipment, and the environment.

Digital Manufacturing & IIoT Responsibilities
• Utilize manufacturing dashboards and digital tools to monitor key operational metrics.
• Support implementation and sustainment of Shop Floor Connectivity solutions.
• Ensure effective usage of TDM and PDES systems within manufacturing operations.
• Partner with technology and infrastructure teams to support production systems and workstation performance.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 7 years of leadership or management experience within manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial engineering principles, quality systems, and operational excellence methodologies.
• Experience leading large, diverse production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to drive productivity, quality, cost reduction, and delivery improvements.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• English and Spanish proficiency sufficient to communicate in a global business environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with World Class Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of digital manufacturing, IIoT systems, and manufacturing execution systems.
