Role Summary
As a Manufacturing Engineer III, you will develop and refine manufacturing methods so products are built safely, to spec, and at the right cost. You'll improve work cells, create and maintain process documentation, and plan labor, space, workflow, and equipment layouts to drive efficiency. You will partner with planning and design on product design, tooling, and manufacturability, and work with vendors on specifications, purchasing, and quality conformance. You'll estimate cycle times, staffing needs, and related costs, coordinate with supervisors and other manufacturing engineers on schedules and capacity, and use statistical methods to forecast manufacturing requirements.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 5-8 years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical reading/writing and presentation skills
- Applied math/statistics, adaptable problem-solving
- Proficient in MS Office and Solidworks
Apply if you can improve processes and keep production moving.
Onsite Workday
You'll be onsite in Oxnard, working a Monday-Thursday schedule. Your day includes time on the floor reviewing how work is performed, then time at your desk updating routers, work instructions, and other process records. You'll meet with design/planning to close open manufacturability questions, and you'll have quick check-ins with production leads to confirm priorities and remove blockers. Expect vendor touchpoints to clarify specs and follow up on purchased items. You'll also pull data, run basic statistical checks, and turn findings into clear recommendations that support near-term decisions and longer-range capacity planning.
