The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for support of Manufacturing operations in the production of filtration products by improving Safety, Ergonomics, and productivity. The Manufacturing Engineer will also identify and develop production, assembly & testing process and procedures. The Manufacturing Engineer will also work cross functionally with project management, operations, quality and safety.
This position is part of the Engineering Department and is located in Cortland, NY. This position is an integral part of PALL Corporation in Cortland and will work with all levels of the plant to ensure on time delivery to our customers.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:- Participate and lead small teams in continuous improvement events to improve manufacturing processes
- Find creative and novel solutions using a data driven mindset
- Ability to generate, revise and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and piping & instrumentation diagrams
- Focus on efficiencies in all areas of the manufacturing process.
- Have an impact on reducing process variation, reducing waste, standard work creation, work to optimize cell design to correct quality and process upsets
The essential requirements of the job include:- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with 3+ years of professional experience in Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering)
- Experience identifying and implementing improvements to processes, tools and tooling
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements under minimal supervision
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:- Experience in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing
- Knowledge of PLC Programming

The salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
