- Promote alignment, accountability, and ownership across the teams you work with.
- Maintain effective communication with Design Engineering and Quality to resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to technical, operational, and project-planning discussions during the team's daily scrum.
- Support fellow Manufacturing Engineers as required, acting as a backup or alternate.
Mindset & Approach- Apply a systematic, project-management approach to assess technical and nontechnical situations, develop plans, and execute actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing methods and build capabilities that support future operational needs.
- Drive lasting resolution of issues through root cause analysis and Lean methodologies.
- Take a proactive approach to assigned work, communicating progress, risks, and plans clearly.
Process Ownership- Develop, own, and maintain manufacturing build and test processes aligned with design and customer requirements.
- Standardize manufacturing workflows and technical testing processes through common practices, knowledge sharing, and cross-training.
- Develop processes that support safety, quality, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Monitor product yield, throughput, and process risks, leading or supporting Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), data analysis, Material Review Board (MRB) activities, 8D problem-solving, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
- Support field failure root cause investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Identify requirements for, or design, jigs, fixtures, and gauges, ensuring effective integration into factory operations.
- Develop, verify, configure, and maintain bills of materials (BOMs).
- Drive continuous quality improvement and cost reduction through process improvements.
Technical Ownership- Serve as a key resource for troubleshooting electro-mechanical, high-voltage, and RF systems and components during manufacturing while supporting safety, quality, and throughput goals.
- Perform high-voltage testing of high-power amplifiers for satellite applications and/or medical generators across product lines.
- Operate test equipment, including PNA and VNA instruments, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, thermal chambers, waveguide couplers, and power meters.
- Apply fundamental electrical engineering principles when working with AC, DC, and RF signals.
- Partner with Design Engineering to translate new designs and requirements into reliable manufacturing processes.
Project & Initiative Management- Assess, communicate, and manage projects and tasks of varying urgency.
- Lead or contribute to multiple initiatives simultaneously, from product troubleshooting to operational improvements.
- Work with the Operations team to prioritize and resolve technical issues while meeting customer and business requirements.
