Base Pay Range: $82,245 - $116,000 USD
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Position SummaryWe're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations group, in which you'll be a strong contributing member in our collaborative environment. You'll find a good amount of autonomy here, as well as a hard-working group that contributes to Banner's ongoing success and continuing growth. In this role, you will be working to improve the manufacturing process to reduce waste and improve Banner's product quality.
This position reports to the Sr Manager of Quality & Engineering

What You'll Be Doing This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, staying on top of tasks, and making a meaningful impact across teams and projects. Below are some key responsibilities of the role.
Key Responsibilities - Lead Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) sessions and proactively reduce and eliminate the causes of defects
- Initiate quality alerts, stock checks, stop work orders, line support, engineering, and corrective action requests.
- Quality-based customer support for Production and the Business units.
- Work closely with operators and technicians on the factory floor to understand process challenges and implement practical, sustainable improvements
- Critically analyze new product concepts and provide constructive feedback for assembly requirements and constraints
- Manage improvement projects related to issues found in product returns
- Analyze inspection data for nonconforming products from external suppliers to determine disposition.
- Collaborate with NPD and Plant Engineering at each of our facilities to reduce waste, operational errors, and improve overall product quality.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.

Required - Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
- 0 to 5 years of engineering experience; new grads are encouraged to apply
- Strong applied statistical skills to analyze manufacturing data, identify process variation, and drive continuous improvement
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality and continuous improvement methodologies including experience with 8D and Root Cause Analysis
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- This position is based in our headquarters facility in Plymouth, MN, with frequent travel and collaboration with our facility in Brooklyn Park. Occasional (approximately 5%) travel to manufacturing sites in South Dakota and Mexico.
- Proven problem-solving skills for diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
Preferred - Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die casting, machining, and stamping
- Familiarity with one or more of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, data-driven analysis and decision-making
Supervisory Responsibilities - This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
