Full Job Description
Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - ATS. This position is ONSITE Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at our Asheville (Arden) NC Eaton facility.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing a broad range of engineering support to manufacturing operations and plant facility maintenance; provide project responsibility for the execution of complex projects and project assignments within the Operational Excellence department; develop engineering and process control documentation for manufacturing needs; provide coordination and technical guidance to production personnel as appropriate.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year.

What you'll do:

In this role:
• You will apply knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication and assembly processes, tooling and fixturing design and applications.
• You will develop and implement improvements to manufacturing and its procedures and processes through improved layout and material handling procedures.
• You will train factory operators in the use of equipment, tooling and procedures.
• You will plan, coordinate, and oversee changes and upgrades to the manufacturing facility.
• You will be leading events such as Shop Floor and Rapid Improvement Events to achieve factory cost-out targets in your support area.
• You will conduct a line capacity analysis and lead labor productivity improvement initiatives to achieve the business objective.
• You will specify, design, quote, install, debug, and maintain equipment for use in manufacturing.
• You will support Eaton's digitization initiatives with the implementation of manufacturing execution systems (MES) in shop floor, electronic data presentation, Industry 4.0, and automation.
• You will support other key plant processes and provide cross-functional support as directed.
• You will design processes utilizing PFMEA, document controls, method sheets, standard operating procedures, etc.

Qualifications:

BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Asheville NC location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Training and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC and related software (Microsoft Office, ERP SAP, AS400, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 tactics and strategies
