Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering focused on injection molding operations and launching automated production cells.
• Proven experience in equipment specification, vendor management, and process integration during production startup.
• Deep understanding of mold tooling, press systems, and techniques for cycle time optimization.
• Background in high-volume or high-mix operations within the plastics manufacturing sector.
• Knowledge of robotic systems, vision inspection technology, and associated automation processes.
• Skilled in root cause analysis, lean manufacturing principles, and process validation techniques.
• Ability to operate cross-functionally with minimal oversight in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and design complete injection molding cells, encompassing presses, EOAT, robotics, and packaging equipment.
• Collaborate with tooling and automation teams to ensure mold and fixture designs prioritize automation and maintainability.
• Specify, install, and validate a diverse range of manufacturing equipment including thermal and drying systems.
• Own and optimize cell layout and material flow to maximize uptime and efficiency during production runs.
• Oversee qualification activities including FAT/SAT, DOE, and root cause analysis to ensure equipment readiness.
• Integrate sensor feedback and monitoring systems in partnership with software and automation teams.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation encompassing process instructions and validation protocols.
