Chastain Animal Clinic has been serving the Smyrna community since 1954, earning the trust of generations of pet owners through exceptional medicine and compassionate care. In 2025, we opened the doors to our brand-new, state-of-the-art, 6,500-square-foot hospital, creating an incredible opportunity for a Managing Veterinarian to lead a thriving team while continuing our long-standing tradition of excellence.

We're looking for a collaborative leader who is passionate about mentoring, practicing high-quality medicine, and fostering a positive, supportive culture. Our New Hospital Features

Designed with both patients and team members in mind, our modern facility includes:
  • Approximately 6,500 square feet of thoughtfully designed clinical space
  • Separate dog and cat waiting areas to reduce patient stress
  • 2 feline exam rooms with a dedicated feline treatment area
  • 8 canine exam rooms
  • Comfort room with a private exit for compassionate end-of-life care
  • Isolation room with separate entrance and exit
  • 2 fully equipped surgical suites
  • Dedicated dental suite with 2 wet tables
  • Spacious treatment area with abundant kennel space
  • Digital radiography and digital dental radiography
  • Ultrasound for FAST scans
  • Full anesthetic monitoring equipment
  • Phovia laser therapy
  • In-house and reference laboratory capabilities through IDEXX
  • Avimark practice management software


About the Role

As Managing Veterinarian, you'll combine clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities by:
  • Providing high-quality medical and surgical care
