As senior leaders, they are integral in developing intellectual capital and stewarding firm culture and contribute materially to the long-term success of the business. The Managing Director for United States Public Affairs has a broad portfolio encompassing advice and assistance to clients on U.S. government relations and policy strategy, strategic communications, and public affairs.

Responsibilities - Manage U.S. client portfolios and act as a strategic advisor to executive-level stakeholders in high-stakes, complex environments.
- Manage U.S. client relationships and play a central role in client strategies related to public policy, public affairs and communications, and strategic decision-making, and drive key client operational initiatives in the U.S.
- Oversee teams and client engagements, ensuring excellence, integration, prioritization, and strategic alignment for clients and the firm.
- Drive business development by expanding engagements, identifying new revenue streams, negotiating profitable terms, and cultivating new client relationships.
- Own day-to-day management and growth of a significant revenue portfolio, with significant accountability for performance, profitability and results.
- Support annual budget and workforce planning and monitor progress against growth.
- Lead firmwide initiatives, operational priorities, cross practice and Business Unit collaboration.
- Guide and mentor talent; help shape team workforce planning, succession and professional development.
- Build and refine high impact methodologies, service offerings, and intellectual capital for clients and the firm.
- Utilize and expands networks to cultivate potential new clients and build new business.
- Represent DGA externally as a visible and credible senior leader and expert in the market.

Qualifications - 15+ years of relevant professional experience in U.S. government, politics, policy advisory/advocacy, or public affairs roles.
- Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Highly proficient in PowerPoint and other MS Office tools.
- Exceptional presentation, writing, and analytical skills.
- Highly effective communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management capabilities, combined with a strategic, proactive approach to networking and long-term relationship building.
