Managing Attorney - Litigation Operations & Trial DirectorLocation: Irving, TX - In-Office Role
Compensation: Competitive base salary dependant on experience, trial success, and leadership record.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
- Oversee litigation teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
- Ensure efficient collaboration and timely completion of tasks across your team.
- Review and ensure all pleadings, motions, and legal filings meet firm quality and compliance standards.
- Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and promote continuous improvement.
- Work closely with operations team to resolve staff concerns and maintain a cohesive work environment.
- Occasionally represent clients in depositions, mediations, hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Conduct legal research, memoranda, and advise on complex litigation matters.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop effective case strategies.
- Manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure attorney KPIs are consistently met.
Litigation Leadership
• Lead attorney performance across the litigation department.
• Conduct recurring litigation file reviews.
• Develop action plans for stagnant files.
• Hold attorneys accountable to litigation KPIs.
• Identify bottlenecks before they become problems.
• Ensure attorneys are trial-ready.
• Mentor litigation attorneys.
• Coordinate litigation strategy with Law & Motions department.
• Identify staffing needs.
• Assist with attorney hiring.
• Improve department workflows.
• Solve operational problems affecting litigation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years of personal injury litigation experience (20+ years preferred).
- Board Certified in Personal Injury Law with 15+ jury trials to verdict.
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience with attorneys and paralegals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive experience taking and defending fact, expert, corporate representative, and treating physician depositions.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare attorneys and clients for deposition testimony.
- Commitment to excellence, ethical practice, and client-focused advocacy.
