Manager (SS&C Technologies, Inc.; Boston, MA): Specific responsibilities of the Manager include: Owning the full employee lifecycle, from hiring to termination. Owning the employee performance review process and provide timely feedback and coaching. Working closely with QA and Product Management teams to implement business requirements. Acting as a technical lead with hands-on coding while managing one or two scrum teams. Troubleshooting, maintaining, and incrementally replacing a legacy Delphi codebase. Providing thought leadership and decision-making on technical design and architecture. Writing, testing, reviewing, and maintaining code for the Eze OMS product suite in a Windows environment. Providing operational and tier-3 support by triaging, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.

The Senior Software Engineer is based at SS&C’s office in Boston, Massachusetts with a telecommuting benefit. The incumbent must report to an SS&C office in Massachusetts at least 6 days per month.

 

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 8 years of experience in an engineering role.

 

Must have: 1 year of experience involving people management responsibilities. 3 years of experience serving in a technical team lead (non-management) capacity. 5 years of experience with Delphi programming language to support legacy codebase. 8 years of object-oriented programming experience in C# or Java, and SQL. 8 years of experience with front-end development using Microsoft technologies such as WinForms, WPF, DevExpress. 8 years of experience with automation testing frameworks like MSTest, TestComplete, Moq. 8 years of experience with troubleshooting tools like WindDbg, Debug Diagnostics, Performance Monitor, Visual Studio Debugger, Web Brower Dev tools. 8 years of experience with API development involving HTTP/s, REST, SOAP, Swagger, Redoc, IIS. 5 years of experience with AWS technologies like S3, API Gateway, Lambda, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch. 5 years of experience with React, Typescript, JavaScript, AG Grid and corresponding test frameworks like Jest, WebDriverIO. 5 years of experience with Web Frameworks like Nancy, Kestrel. 5 years of experience with Security related tools like AWS Cognito, Keycloak, Okta, Azure Entra ID, JSON Web Tokens (JWT), OAuth 2.0, SAML. 5 years of experience with GIT-based source control systems like GitHub, BitBucket. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in mentoring and guiding team members in a player-coach capacity. Experience in driving technical discussions and facilitating technical decisions. Experience in developing and troubleshooting high-performance software. Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum and/or Kanban.

 

Salary: $178,131 to $190,000 per year.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

Massachusetts: The expected base salary for the position is between 178,131 USD to 190,000 USD.
