Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for developing and maintaining a good, professional working relationships with customer representatives, the kitchen units, and other internal stakeholders, establishing a clear line of communication at all levels. Participate in Ops Calls Canada, US & Int'l.
• Coordinates internal departments including pricing, billing, procurement, industrial engineers and data group, in matters pertaining to the customer ensures data integrity, execution, appropriate and timely communication.
• Coordinates the bid activities, ensures the timely completion of tenders, evaluates inquiries, supports pricing strategy development and formulates bid analysis, tracks and manages progress of works and presents final Request for Proposal (RFP) submission to the Director for review and use.
• With the support of the local finance teams, manage the contractual implementation of CPI across all regions and brands.
• Manage GG Canada & International SLA program.
• Provide support data to the Senior Commercial Manager to conduct review calls with the units and customers. Support Menu Presentations Canada & US. Participate and support cycle changes and start-ups Canada, US & Int'l.
• Maintain records and participate in operational performance management meetings, maintain meeting notes for sharing with leaders, escalate issues to appropriate owners
• Supports the development and maintenance of the early indicator tools for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve operational performance and reduce associated financial penalties
• Monitors unit performance and takes a proactive position in escalations to leaders to ensure quality service standards are maintained at the highest level
• Conduct ad hoc data analytics, gather data, create reports as needed to include profitability reports to the ZRH commercial team.
• Supports the maintenance of tools to analyze the flight data and provides catering locations with flight statistics to drive more proactive and efficient plans and actions for the upcoming changes
• Manage Substitutions management, Pricing Management & Billing Audits.
• Actively involved in day-to-day customer/operational activities, customer management and customer development. Point of contact for Customer Relationship Management.
• Develops, manages, distributes, and communicates customer data impacting Gate Gourmet operations and identified customer groups.
• Maintains internal and external customer performance reports and entire customer portfolio
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by management
Core Competencies and Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years equivalent work experience in Sales and Service inairline and/or airline catering experience preferred.
Work Experience
• At least two (2) years of experience in Sales, airline and/or airline catering preferred
• Previous project management experience preferred
• Experience in a food related industry preferred
• Experience working with customer account management and performance
• A background in finance, revenue management and/or pricing is preferred but not mandatory.
Technical Skills
Core Competencies Required
• Strong organization and/or project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Large scale catering operations or logistics, airline catering experience preferred
• Sales and/or customer service experience, Account Management
• Able to shift roles and responsibilities as business needs change.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment, strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
