Hiring range: Starting at $96,096 annually.
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct operational and clinical oversight of three urgent care centers.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement.
• Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient patient flow, quality outcomes, and exceptional customer service.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators including wait times, patient volumes, throughput, patient satisfaction, quality metrics, and financial performance.
• Serve as a visible and engaged leader, supporting staff and providers across all locations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Champion initiatives that improve access to timely, high-quality healthcare services throughout the communities served.
• Collaborate with primary care, specialty services, behavioral health, and community partners to support care coordination and continuity of care.
• Utilize data and community health trends to identify gaps in care and implement strategies that improve population health outcomes.
• Develop programs and workflows that address health disparities and increase equitable access to healthcare services.
• Promote preventative care and community outreach efforts that support organizational population health goals.
• Monitor quality indicators and patient safety metrics and implement action plans as needed.
• Partner with providers and organizational leaders to address quality improvement opportunities.
• Investigate and resolve patient, staff, and operational concerns in a timely manner.
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing team members.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support professional growth and succession planning.
• Manage staffing plans, scheduling, productivity, and labor resources.
• Foster employee engagement and promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork and accountability.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and resources.
• Monitor productivity, staffing utilization, and operational expenses.
• Identify opportunities for cost containment and operational efficiency while maintaining quality care standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Provides direct supervision and leadership to clinical staff across the St. Johnsville, Gloversville, and Amsterdam Urgent Care Centers, including Registered Nurses, and Licensed Practical Nurses of 1-2 years prior experience.
• Recruits, interviews, hires, onboards, and retains high-performing team members.
• Conducts performance evaluations and provides ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
• Establishes performance expectations and holds staff accountable for achieving organizational, departmental, quality, and patient experience goals.
• Develops and maintains staffing schedules that ensure appropriate coverage, productivity, and efficient resource utilization across all locations.
• Addresses employee relations concerns, including performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, and policy compliance.
• Promotes a culture of collaboration, accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.
• Partners with providers and interdisciplinary leaders to foster teamwork and optimize clinical operations.
• Leads staff meetings, huddles, and educational initiatives to ensure consistent communication and alignment with organizational goals.
• Oversees orientation, competency assessments, annual education requirements, and regulatory training for clinical staff.
• Monitors workforce metrics, including turnover, vacancy rates, employee engagement, productivity, and retention, and develops action plans to address trends.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience:
• Diploma from an accredited Nursing Program. Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of ambulatory, urgent care, emergency, or outpatient operations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Previous leadership or management experience in urgent care, ambulatory care, emergency services, or outpatient healthcare settings preferred.
• Experience leading quality improvement, population health, or access-to-care initiatives preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare operations, performance metrics, and change management principles preferred.
Certifications & Licensure:
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
