DEFINITION

The Zaxby's Construction Manager will build and execute the franchisee construction program, as well as deliver on all strategic initiatives supporting company growth. This position will need a self-starter with the ability to flex into corporate-led development as well as remodels. Innovation around these programs, processes, and initiatives is critical for success in this role. Key components to this position include the ability to multi-task, implement efficient building practices, oversee project timing and contractor quality of work, and coordinate communications between GC's, architects, designers, engineers, and leadership. Leadership is required in all phases of development for franchisee growth, including building plan review, construction site visits, and communication with architects, general contractors, engineers, and vendors. Accurate forecasting and reporting are vital to the success of this position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Support franchisee growth in all facets of development
  • Effectively communicate with all functions in the development process
  • Accurately report timelines/dates on all projects using construction experience, as well as information provided by Architects/GC/Franchisees
  • Partner with opening team to ensure on-time turnovers and strong openings
  • Share best practices with franchisees and corporate construction teams
  • Attend meetings with public municipalities as required
  • Conduct routine job meetings with key contributors
  • Build relationships with stakeholders - GC's, vendor partners, internal/external team members
  • Track and manage budget vs actual costs on all projects
  • Prepare punch lists to ensure brand standards, and quality standards are maintained
  • Lead continuous value engineering effort of our prototypes for cost reduction and efficiency

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in QSR construction managemen


PAY RANGE

$115,000 - $140,000
