Full Job Description
The Quality Engineering Manager leads the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of quality assurance practices across software development initiatives and enterprise technology solutions. This role is responsible for building and developing a high-performing QA team, establishing testing standards, advancing test automation, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-quality solutions.

The Quality Engineering Manager partners closely with Product, Development, Architecture, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to embed quality throughout the technology lifecycle, manage quality risks, and support successful product releases and system updates that deliver exceptional member experiences.

This position is accountable for quality strategy, testing effectiveness, quality metrics, automation maturity, roadmap execution, release readiness, and the successful coordination of testing activities for both internally developed systems and third-party technology solutions.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible within 8:00am -5:00pm. This position will be a hybrid model both in person and remote with minimum of onsite expectation of 60% (Tue, Wed ,Thur) or as needed.

In this position, you will
  • Lead and develop the Quality Assurance function, including team leadership, performance management, workforce planning, coaching, and professional development.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the Quality Assurance strategy and roadmap, establishing standards, governance, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives that align with organizational goals.
  • Oversee testing and quality activities for internally developed applications, digital platforms, APIs, and enterprise systems, including test planning, execution, defect management, quality risk mitigation, and release readiness. When business priorities, staffing levels, or critical initiatives require, actively participate in testing activities to support successful delivery outcomes
  • Partner with business units and third-party vendors to coordinate and support testing efforts for software implementations, upgrades, maintenance releases, and other technology changes to ensure business requirements and quality expectations are met.
  • Define, implement, and manage quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting, using data-driven insights to measure testing effectiveness, product quality, automation maturity, defect trends, release readiness, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Drive quality engineering and test automation initiatives while collaborating with Product, Development, Architecture, Security, and business stakeholders to improve delivery outcomes and ensure solutions meet business, technical, regulatory, accessibility, and member experience requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
