Job Title: Manager, Operations

Position Overview:

As the Manufacturing Manager, Operations you will play a pivotal role in driving manufacturing excellence by leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability, and delivering outstanding business results. This hands-on leadership position combines strategic thinking with a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, empowering leaders, championing continuous improvement, optimizing resources, and collaborating across functions to enhance productivity, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational performance. Location: Full time Onsite - Portsmouth, NH

What you will be doing:

  • Lead manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and productivity objectives.

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that support business goals and customer demand.

  • Translate company objectives into measurable departmental goals and monitor progress through key performance indicators.

  • Partner with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, EHS, HR, and Finance to improve operational performance.

  • Identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans.

  • Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives using Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Standard Work, Visual Management, and Root Cause Analysis.

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts that reduce waste, improve efficiency, and increase manufacturing capacity.

  • Review production metrics daily and identify trends requiring corrective or preventive action.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, GMP, safety, and quality system requirements

  • Manage labor utilization, overtime, staffing, and operational budgets.

  • Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities to improve productivity while maintaining quality and customer service.

Skills you will need:

  • 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.

  • 3+ years leading supervisors or multiple production teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management preferred

  • Demonstrated experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • P&L experience managing production metrics, labor planning, budgets, and operational performance..

  • Experience working within ERP systems (SAP preferred).

  • Medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing experience.

  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA, and GMP requirements.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

  • Experience with value stream management and operational planning.

The hiring range for this position is: $105,000-$120,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
