What's The Job?This is part strategic partner, part hands-on builder. As our Manager, Training & Development, you'll help T&D operate as a true business partner, taking real business problems and solving them with the right learning products and processes instead of just filling training requests. You'll run the day-to-day T&D process across our Arizona and Ohio sites, lead our Operations Training team, own leadership development programming, and prove the return on training so T&D is seen as a value driver, not a cost center. You'll also roll up your sleeves and design and deliver leadership content yourself.
This is a hybrid/on-site role based at our Arizona site.
What You'll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This Part- Run the end-to-end T&D intake and development process (intake, outline, rough draft, finalize, deploy, pilot/iterate) and keep it consistent across both sites
- Manage the active project portfolio, evaluating requests for strategic alignment, potential ROI, and urgency, and recommend "not yet" or "not that format" when a different solution fits better
- Partner with the Director to set priorities and direction across both sites
- Maintain standards and the T&D template library (work instructions, quick reference guides, assessments, new-hire certification, 30-60-90 plans, individual development plans) and manage our LMS and authoring tools
- Build trusted relationships with Operations, Quality, Safety, HR, and Corporate leaders, diagnose the real need behind a request, and guide them to the right format: work instruction, quick reference guide, eCourse, video, workshop, or training station
- Coach SMEs and department leaders to author content, with T&D providing the instructional design and quality layer while department owners stay accountable for technical accuracy
- Own leadership and soft-skill programming for supervisors, managers, and corporate teams, including our leadership competency framework and coaching and communication culture
- Personally design and deliver leadership development content, including eLearning, workshops, and facilitated sessions
- Own the career-growth and development-planning framework: role-specific learning plans, job skills sheets, and individual development plans that give employees a visible path to grow
- Own ROI measurement by connecting training data to the metrics leaders already watch, such as completion results in daily site scorecards, and linking learning to business and workforce outcomes
- Run T&D's reporting rhythm: weekly project tracker (Red/Yellow/Green), monthly recaps, quarterly Operations and Corporate updates, and an operations training calendar across both sites
- Lead and develop the Operations Training Specialists, who execute content development, floor facilitation, and train-the-trainer partnerships at each site
- Other duties as assigned
What You've Done And Who You Are- 6-8 years in learning and development, training, or organizational development
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years leading programs or people
- A track record of running intake, prioritization, and reporting processes for a training function
- Experience measuring training impact and presenting results to senior leaders
- Expertise in leadership and soft-skill development for both frontline and corporate audiences
- Hands-on LMS and eLearning authoring experience (UKG Pro Learning, Articulate Rise, or similar)
- Experience in manufacturing, CPG, food production, or another operations-heavy environment (strongly preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Someone that can partner and influence at all different levels, including coaching non-trainers to create strong content
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a fast moving environment
