Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

Wolf Greenfield is seeking a Manager of Legal Technology Engagement to assist in shaping the firm's market positioning on its technology, AI, and innovation capabilities, communicating the firm's position to clients, and converting firm financial and industry data into actionable business development insight. This role is ideal for candidates with a desire to focus on translating firm technical capabilities into compelling client and market communications, utilizing data to surface firm opportunities. The Manager will serve as a trusted resource to shareholders and client teams on AI and technology positioning and will report to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develops and maintains the firm's client-facing technology, AI, and innovation narrative, ensuring messaging stays current, credible, and differentiated in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Translates AI, generative AI, legal technology, and data capabilities into practical, client-resonant talking points and marketing collateral that shareholders can use confidently in client interactions.
  • Prepares general and custom materials and content for shareholders ahead of client meetings, panels, industry meetings, and pitches where technology or AI capability is a differentiator.
  • Prepares and coordinates responses to RFP inquiries, client survey inquiries, and outside counsel guideline questionnaires pertaining to technology and AI, consistent with the firm's market positioning, partnering closely with business development professionals, firm departments, and Legal Operations and other firm functions to ensure responses are accurate and current.
  • In collaboration with the Finance and Legal Operations teams, analyzes financial data using technology and AI tools to identify client workload trends, client health, and growth or risk indicators, translating findings into actionable recommendations for the Marketing and Business Development Team.
  • Tracks competitor and market activity in legal AI and technology innovation, proactively flagging emerging use cases, client questions, and positioning risks to firm leadership.
  • Conducts quick-turn research on how competitor firms position their AI and technology capabilities in advance of client pitches and opportunities.
  • Takes on additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree required; JD, MBA, or other advanced degree a plus, not required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in business development, marketing, legal technology, or knowledge management within a law firm, legal department, legal technology company, or comparable professional services environment.
  • Ability to manage relationships, motivate and lead people. Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Highly proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as basic computer and database management skills.
  • Working knowledge of legal technology and AI/generative AI tools, with the ability to explain capabilities, limitations, and risks clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience working with financial or business data sets, with comfort in analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar).
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborative skills, with demonstrated experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to present analysis directly to shareholders and firm leadership.
  • Comfortable supporting senior stakeholders on strategic client conversations without owning the client relationship directly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently across a broad set of priorities, from narrative development to data analysis, without close supervision.
