Maintenance Manager

Day Shift

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the management of Plant Maintenance and Facilities. Partners with the operational leadership team to achieve operational objectives. Ensures plant operational compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Facilitate the development of facilities maintenance, the skilled trades teams, utilities, and capital plans; all in support of safety, productivity, and new business development strategies.
  • Provide leadership in the areas of profit and loss responsibility for the facility, quality control, and maintenance process development and conformance.
  • Work collaboratively with Production Departments, Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and all other business unit functions to identify and resolve ongoing maintenance and facility needs.
  • Prioritize all maintenance requests and ensure the most effective deployment of maintenance resources to satisfy critical needs daily.
  • Manage the Maintenance, maintenance processes, and methods to deliver process & machine uptime and capability to achieve operational objectives and budgetary goals.
  • Develop an asset maintenance plan that includes preventative maintenance and predictive methodologies, based on root causes analysis and OEM recommendations.
  • Develop and manage the Management of Change (MOC) process for facilities and equipment modifications, upgrades, installs, and removals.
  • Responsible and accountable for department KPI operational metrics and goal attainment, including corrective action plans associated with any variances in goals.
  • Implement and maintain TPM programs.
  • Propose projects that reduce cost and/or improve operational performance and lead action items to act on these.
  • Develop project scope, budgets, equipment specifications, economic justification, and all documentation associated with the proposal and execution of capital projects.
  • Supervise outside contractors/suppliers as required.
  • Responsible for all aspects of management of maintenance staff, including performance management, skills gap assessments, and individual development plans.
  • Exercise good judgment when making decisions affecting business unit results.


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred. Technical leadership experience required.
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and installation background in an Industrial environment.
  • 3 years previous experience in manufacturing, specifically in a maintenance leadership or engineering position.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement TPM systems.
  • Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
  • Proficient with Maintenance ERP systems (SAP)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with CMMS or similar system(s)
  • Machining experience
  • Proficient with engineering software tools (MS Project, MS Office & AutoCAD).
