Full Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE:

  • Provideleadership for themaintenancemechanical hourlygroupwith a focus onwork order completion,continuous improvement of maintenance safety, productivity, and uptime. Develop robust processes and organizationalskillto sustain high performance standards and continuous improvement.


PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

List each major accountability (end result) and the key activities necessary to accomplish the end result.

  • Facilitate the interaction of maintenance work in thePort Neches facility
  • Troubleshoot problem equipment
  • Reduce situations and conditions that will result in reworkissues
  • Make decisions about how/whether to repair equipment
  • Oversee internal and externalmechanicalcontractors, enlisted to support the mechanical group
  • Directing skilled and semi-skilled workers whose duties include repairing, replacing, clearing, cleaning of damaged,failedor fouled equipment,pipingand structure
  • Distribution of daily jobs to the hourly work group
  • Responsible for auditing jobs to ensure proper work practices and specifications are utilized
  • Administrative management of disciplinary responsibilities within the mechanical group
  • Ensureappropriate trainingand compliance to safety andmaintenance procedures
  • Material coordination and job execution of all P1 work orders
  • Responsible forpurchasingparts, tools, and other supplies necessary for work order completion
  • Utilize KRONOS tomaintainhourly work force time schedules
  • Owner of mechanicalKPI's includinggroupsafety,downtime,resourceutilization, and productivity
  • Originator of 5-why analysis for situations requiring investigation within the group
  • Capable of providing professional verbal and written reports and status updates to peers and upper management
  • Capable of working extended hours and weekends and holidays asrequired
  • Additionalduties may vary


MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

State the minimum type and level of training and/or formal education and experience required to do your job.

Education:High school diploma or equivalent or relevant post-secondary certification

Related Experience: 10+ years' of maintenance or mechanical repair experience with previous leadership management or supervisory experience.

Special Training or Competencies:
  • Must have thorough knowledge of maintenance and manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Mustestablisha strong working relationship withall crafts in maintenance area
  • Must have excellentverbaland communication skills
  • Must have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be familiar with EH&S procedures and policies
  • SAP experienceis preferred
  • Be or capable of becomingComputer literate
