Job Posting:
Manager, Logistics Data Analytics
Job Summary
The Manager, Logistics Data Analytics leads a team responsible for Kontoor’s supply chain visibility platform (Infor Nexus) and logistics analytics. The role serves as the business owner of Infor Nexus — owning configuration, in-system reporting, and the prioritized backlog of changes delivered with IT and the platform vendor.
The Manager also leads the development of Power BI and analytics solutions, partnering with IT data engineers on EDW data to deliver shipment visibility, logistics performance insights, and decision-ready reporting for Logistics and the broader Supply Network organization.
Operating in an agile delivery model, this leader coaches a team of logistics data analysts, directs matrixed IT resources, and drives measurable improvements in logistics visibility, data quality, and decision-making. The team is expected to grow as capabilities mature.
Responsibilities
- Own Infor Nexus as business system owner – Serve as the lead key user and configuration owner for Infor Nexus. Oversee system configuration, milestone and tracking setup, in-system reports, user support, and process changes, ensuring the platform delivers accurate shipment, carrier, and milestone visibility.
- Own the backlog and lead agile delivery – Own and prioritize the Infor Nexus and logistics analytics backlog. Lead agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews) with IT and the platform vendor, and represent the business in IT and vendor meetings on system changes, EDI/ASN integrations, SAP interfaces, and new capabilities. Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
- Lead Power BI and analytics delivery – Oversee the development and ongoing management of Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and analyses covering shipment visibility, ETA accuracy, carrier performance, logistics KPIs, and exceptions. Partner with IT data engineers to source and model data from Infor Nexus and other systems in the EDW.
- Lead, coach, and develop the team – Lead and develop direct reports and direct the work of matrixed IT resources. Set goals and priorities, build logistics and technical capabilities across the team, and plan for team growth.
- Own logistics data quality and governance – Identify and resolve data-quality gaps across shipment, milestone, ASN, EDI, carrier, and logistics-provider data. Partner with IT, technology providers, carriers, and logistics partners to fix root causes, standardize KPI definitions, and reduce manual and duplicate reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders – Work with Logistics and Supply Network stakeholders to understand operational challenges, translate business needs into requirements, and deliver scalable solutions that improve visibility and support informed decision-making.
Experience
- Supply chain or logistics analytics, systems, or operations
- Key user, administrator, or product owner of a supply chain visibility or logistics platform (Infor Nexus preferred; E2open, SAP, Blue Yonder, project44, or similar considered)
- Leading people or teams, including directing matrixed IT or vendor resources
- Working in agile delivery teams, ideally as a product owner; Power BI / BI development and partnering with data engineering teams
**This is an analytics role so if candidate can demonstrate their skills otherwise, years of experience would not prevent them from consideration.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Economics, Analytics, Supply Chain, or other relevant area
- Preferred: Agile product owner certification (e.g., PSPO, CSPO).
- Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or equivalent BI experience.
Skills
- Leadership – coaching and developing analysts, and directing IT and vendor resources without formal authority.
- Logistics domain knowledge – shipments, carriers, milestones, ASN/EDI flows, and tracing data issues back to their source.
- Agile product ownership – backlog management, prioritization, and vendor/IT coordination for a supply chain visibility platform.
- Analytics and BI – strong Power BI, data modeling, and SQL skills; experience partnering with data engineers on an enterprise data warehouse.
- Communication and influence – explaining complex systems and processes clearly, and persuading stakeholders at all levels based on findings.
