Full Job Description
Department: Information Technology Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
Description:

Under general supervision, provides project leadership and support for information technology project teams - from project initiation through completion. Assignments are typically small projects or components of mid- to large scale projects related to implementation of new or revised information management systems. Project teams are comprised of technical experts, functional area subject matter experts and project managers.

Duties:
  • Leads or participates, depending on project size, in defining project goals, objectives, scope and estimates for schedules, resources and costs.
  • Supports project execution through ongoing coordination of planning, task assignments, performance reporting, change management, risk management and issue resolution.
  • Coordinates communications among project teams, customers and appropriate levels of management.
  • Prepares project schedules, timelines; monitor project and technical team's progress to ensure stakeholders remain engaged where appropriate.
  • Works in conjunction with functional sponsors, technical subject matter experts, and/or business analysts to gather project requirements.
  • Prepares and deliver project status reports and presentations using approved enterprise reporting tools.
  • May provide input to the formulating and managing project budgets.
  • Participates in the acquisition process for project-related goods and contracted services and perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of project management lifecycle.
  • Ability to communicate fluently and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of various methods for eliciting and documenting requirements.
  • Ability to manage differing perspectives among use groups, negotiate resolutions, and prioritize completing needs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to identify issues and problems, and communicate complex information clearly, concisely, manage complex issues and facilitate resolution.
  • Ability to address faculty, staff, and student concerns with a service-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data visualization tools, including Microsoft Power BI, MS Project and MS Visio.
  • Ability to influence, develop and lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve established objectives.
