SummaryThis role oversees IT operations, policies, procurement, vendor management, and departmental budgeting. Key responsibilities include managing technology contracts and purchasing, evaluating IT investments, supporting new technology implementations, and coordinating IT activities across the organization.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in a related technical field, 3+ years of leadership experience, and strong knowledge of project management, data privacy, budgeting, and IT operations. Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
General Description Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
- Develop requests for proposal. Develop bid requirements for all hardware and software, reviews submitted bids for compliance with stated requirements
- Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
- Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.
- Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
- Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the department heads pertinent IT activities.
- Responsible to coordinate IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative support for daily operational activities of the IT department.
QualificationsRequired experience- Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- 3+ years of team leadership experience
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute task
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind on IT processes and outstanding problem-solving skills
Required EducationBachelor's degree in computer science, risk management or related technical field
Salary Range $157, 000 - $185,000
