The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, corporate, and ethical requirements. This role promotes a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across the organization by identifying and mitigating risks, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing regulatory compliance, and providing expert guidance to leadership and employees. The EHS Manager ensures the effectiveness of safety management systems, emergency preparedness plans, incident prevention strategies, and environmental programs to maintain a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace.

  • All aspects of Health, Safety and Environment are in compliance with local regulations and Group standards and guidelines are being followed as per the requirement.
  • Management Systems for Health, Safety and Environment ensure compliance to current statutory health & safety legislation, codes of practice and regulatory standards are in place and functionally adequate
  • Health, Safety and Environment procedures, guidelines, manuals, inductions and training schedules are established, implemented and regularly reviewed to meet all requirements with which Thailand subscribes.
  • Liaise with external agencies to obtain/maintain relevant permits, licenses and accreditation as required by legislation and industry standards
  • Develop and implement with the assistance from operations prevention strategies, systems and programs based on a risk register and ongoing risk assessments and analysis. Ensure these strategies, systems and programs are integrated into the organization's management systems
  • Access relevant literature, databases and training to maintain knowledge of any developments or improvements of technologies that aid in the assurance of HSE compliance
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Provide expert advice and practical assistance to Management and Staff on all aspects of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment.
  • To ensure a safe and conductive working environment in the company's daily operation
  • Liaise closely with Regional and Global HSE counterparts in compliance of all HSE guidelines
  • Good working relationship with local enforcement organizations and Government Regulatory Authorities.
  • To promote HSE awareness at all levels within the organization
  • Undertake site safety inspections, audits and safety risk assessments (HIRARC) for all processes to ensure the identification of all safety, risks and hazards to provide a safe working environment for staff and contractors
  • Undertake complete and thorough investigations and report any incidents or near misses and develop Corrective Action plans to rectify
  • Manage hazardous waste system and processes
  • Monitor health, safety and environmental activities and enforcement of site
  • Plan and coordinate in the preparation and conducting of training related to training and regular communication.
  • Source coordinate and conduct, where appropriate, Quality and Health & Safety Induction and Training
  • Support and lead implementation of HSE improvement projects
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of the OHS&E committee

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.


Preferred Experience

  • 5-7 years of progressive Environmental, Health & Safety experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or operational environment.
  • 3 years in a leadership, supervisory, or management role with responsibility for developing and implementing EHS programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing regulatory compliance, risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and corrective action programs.
  • Experience working with government agencies, regulatory authorities, and external auditors.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and developing a positive safety culture.


Certifications

  • Professional EHS certification preferred (such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), ISO 14001/45001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, or equivalent local certifications).
  • First Aid, Emergency Response, Fire Safety, or related certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of and ability to maintain applicable local statutory registrations and certifications as required.


Knowledge & Technical Competencies

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable occupational health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 principles.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, workplace inspections, and environmental impact evaluations.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials management, waste management, emergency response planning, and incident investigation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and implement preventive measures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting systems.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence safety culture at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and training facilitation skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with employees, management, regulatory authorities, customers, and external stakeholders.
