Pricing Manager, International Industrial Beverage Business Unit

 

 

Position Overview

 

The Pricing Manager is responsible for leading pricing strategy, financial analysis, and profitability optimization initiatives for the International Industrial Beverage Business Unit. This role serves as a key business partner to Sales, providing strategic insights and analytical support to drive profitable growth, market competitiveness, and customer value.

The Pricing Manager evaluates pricing opportunities, customer profitability, market trends, and financial impacts to support effective decision-making while ensuring alignment with business objectives. The role may also lead and develop pricing and financial analysts and drive continuous improvement in pricing processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.

 

Ideal candidate for this role will be in Charlotte, NC, Lake Forest, IL, or within proximity to a manufacturing site.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Pricing Strategy & Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and execute pricing strategies that support revenue growth, margin expansion, and market competitiveness across international industrial beverage markets.
  • Evaluate customer opportunities, contract pricing, and commercial proposals to optimize financial performance and strategic account growth.
  • Partner with Commercial and Sales teams to provide pricing recommendations, bid support, and profitability analysis for customer negotiations and proposals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, customer dynamics, and industry developments to identify pricing opportunities and risks.
  • Develop customer-specific pricing strategies that balance growth objectives with profitability goals.

 

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Analyze historical financial performance, cost structures, market conditions, and business trends to support strategic pricing and investment decisions.
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate pricing scenarios, customer opportunities, volume impacts, revenue generation, margin performance, and profitability outcomes.
  • Assess the financial impact of pricing changes and commercial initiatives on business performance.
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers affecting revenue, profitability, and operational performance.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the business unit.
  • Develop business cases and return-on-investment analyses to support strategic initiatives and growth opportunities.

 

Business Performance & Analytics

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing effectiveness, customer profitability, revenue growth, and margin performance.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, pricing analyses, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Monitor actual performance against forecasts and pricing objectives, providing recommendations for corrective action when necessary.
  • Utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to deliver actionable insights that improve decision-making and financial performance.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of pricing, financial, and operational data used across reporting and decision-making processes.

 

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Commercial, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop pricing and financial analysts, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster collaboration across functions to ensure alignment between pricing strategies, operational capabilities, and business objectives.
  • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and best practices related to pricing, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Support strategic initiatives, market expansion efforts, and business transformation projects across international operations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in pricing, financial analysis, FP&A, commercial finance, revenue management, or related disciplines.
  • Previous project management experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting commercial organizations within manufacturing, packaging, industrial products, food and beverage, or related industries preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analytics.
  • Experience with SAP, ERP systems, pricing platforms, and business intelligence tools required or strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, financial planning, profitability analysis, and commercial decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
