Full Job Description
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is seeking a Manager, Global Sales, Central Region US to join our Commercial - Global Sales team.

This is a remote position based in Texas, operating as part of the Mandarin Oriental Corporate Office in New York and the wider Global Sales team.

The Manager, Global Sales, Central Region US is responsible for managing and developing travel industry relationships across the designated Central US market. Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, the role creates and executes strategic account plans, strengthens client relationships, drives revenue and market-share growth, and maximises transient and group business opportunities across the Mandarin Oriental portfolio through travel agency partners.

The position covers Texas and the wider Central US region and reports to the Director, Travel Industry, The Americas. Regular travel is required, and the successful candidate must be based in Texas and live within a one-hour drive of a major airport.

As Manager, Global Sales, Central Region US, you will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Account Management: Manage and develop a portfolio of key travel industry accounts through planned sales activities aligned with the overall Global Sales strategy.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Create and implement account plans that maximise revenue from established and target accounts while supporting the diversification of Mandarin Oriental's client base.
  • Revenue Generation: Achieve or exceed agreed revenue and room-night goals across all assigned accounts and geographical territories.
  • Business Development: Identify and convert transient and group business opportunities across Mandarin Oriental's global portfolio.
  • Regional Sales Growth: Generate revenue from travel advisors, agencies and prospective business partners throughout the assigned Central US region.
  • Travel Industry Partnerships: Serve as the primary point of contact for travel agency partnerships in the region, managing client engagement and facilitating initiatives that generate opportunities for Mandarin Oriental hotels.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key travel advisors, agency partners and industry stakeholders.
  • Fan Club Development: Promote Mandarin Oriental's Fan Club preferred agency partner programme through advisor enrolment, training and ongoing engagement initiatives.
  • Hotel Collaboration: Work closely with hotel-level sales colleagues to align account strategies, share client insights and support exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Events: Lead annual Global Sales Calendar activities across the region, including roadshows, sales trips, workshops and client events.
  • Industry Representation: Coordinate and participate in relevant trade shows, networking opportunities and industry events as required.
  • Client Experiences: Host in-person client meetings, hotel site inspections and familiarisation trips across the Mandarin Oriental portfolio.
  • Market Intelligence: Secure, analyse and evaluate economic, competitive and market information relevant to the assigned territories.
  • Performance Reporting: Produce and analyse reports relating to assigned accounts, markets, sales activity and business performance.
  • Salesforce Management: Develop and maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of accounts, contacts, opportunities and activities in Salesforce.
  • Internal Communication: Participate in weekly sales meetings, monthly segment updates, regular one-to-one meetings and other relevant internal discussions.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Provide assistance and support to wider Global Sales operations and hotel teams based on evolving business requirements.
  • Brand Representation: Represent Mandarin Oriental professionally and consistently during client meetings, sales events, familiarisation trips and industry engagements.
  • Policies & Standards: Comply with Mandarin Oriental's standard policies, programmes and approved corporate travel requirements.


As Manager, Global Sales, Central Region US, we expect from you
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • At least four years of sales experience within luxury hotel sales and/or a global sales environment.
  • Established travel industry and client relationships within Texas or the wider Central US region.
  • Proven experience managing and developing a portfolio of key travel industry or agency accounts.
  • A strong track record of meeting or exceeding ambitious revenue, room-night and business-growth goals.
  • Experience creating and delivering strategic account plans that generate measurable commercial results.
  • Strong understanding of the luxury travel industry, including transient and group business opportunities.
  • Excellent client management, relationship-building, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage changing workloads, competing timelines and evolving priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across different functions, seniority levels and external organisations.
  • A diplomatic and tactful communication style when working with colleagues, clients, travel advisors and business partners.
  • Experience managing approved budgets, allocating resources effectively and controlling expenses in accordance with corporate travel policies.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory and to other locations as required.
  • You must be based in Texas and live within a one-hour drive of a major airport.
