What you'll be doing: - Providing leadership to our Edmonton based Geosciences team.
- Liaising with engineering colleagues and project managers to integrate our service delivery.
- Mentoring, recruiting, and training staff.
- Identifying business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and executing business development initiatives.
- Supporting the team in the successful completion of projects and proposals.
- Providing strategic and technical advice throughout the project cycle.
- Developing and achieving annual business goals for the operation.
Does this sound like you? - Undergraduate degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, geoscience, or related discipline; graduate degree preferred.
- Professional registration or eligibility for registration (e.g., P.Geo., P.Eng., P.Ag., P.Biol., or equivalent).
- 12+ years of post-graduation experience as an environmental specialist or lead in a related field discipline (e.g., contaminated sites, geosciences).
- Demonstrated environmental consulting experience, with leadership and project management responsibilities, is an asset.
- Proven success leading, coaching, motivating, and mentoring staff
- Business development experience in private and public sectors.
- Ability to win work and develop relationships with clients.
- Proven business acumen and strong decision-making skills.
- Determination to deliver on commitments.
- Knowledge of the Alberta market, including the regulatory, social and cultural context.
- Strong leadership, business, and communication skills.
