What will I bedoing?The Manager of Fiscal Administration is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day fiscal administration, financial monitoring, and compliance of grant-funded programs. This position ensures the effective management and stewardship of federal, state, local, and other grant funds in accordance with applicable regulations, grant agreements, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide fiscal support to the Gulf Coast Workforce Board's program and contracted operations.
- Maintain accurate and complete records to support financial accountability and audit readiness.
- Provide leadership and supervision to the Fiscal Administration team.
- Support workforce programs by overseeing the preparation, tracking, and reporting on grant budgets; design of financial reporting tools for our contractors.
- Serve as a key liaison between fiscal administration, program departments, executive leadership, and external funding agencies to support the efficient utilization of grant resources and achievement of organizational objectives.
- Periodically prepare and update grant and service provider budgets, recommend fund transfers, and monitor expenditures.
- Work closely with H-GAC's Finance Department to maintain accurate financial records and troubleshoot problems.
- Provide fiscal technical assistance to staff and service providers.
- Prepare and present information and financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
KeyQualifications- Five (5) years of experience performing budget and accounting duties
- Working knowledge of federal/state grant budgeting processes and OMB administrative and cost circulars
- Above average skills in Excel, Word, and Access as well as other database programs
- Experience with accounting software, preferably MIP
- Experience with project management software, preferably Asana
- Service oriented with a high degree of professionalism in dealing with diverse groups of people
- Ability to complete tasks independently
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in workforce programs budgeting, financial forecasting and reporting
Do you have... - Bachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study.
- 5 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school, or in job-related duties
Preferred Qualifications- Graduate degree in business administration, accounting or related field of study
- 8 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties
Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $124,000.00All employees of H-GAC are required to reside within the agency's region of service to support our commitment to excellence in service of our region.
