Le ou la gestionnaire, Information financière et conformité joue un rôle de leadership clé au sein de la fonction finance. Cette personne est responsable d'assurer l'intégrité, l'exactitude et l'exhaustivité de l'information financière pour les activités nord-américaines. Le poste assure la supervision des processus de reporting consolidé et constitue le dernier niveau de révision et de contrôle avant la soumission au Groupe, en veillant à la conformité aux IFRS, au manuel comptable du Groupe ainsi qu'à toute exigence réglementaire en matière de divulgation financière.

Cette personne dirige une équipe et agit à titre de conseiller(ère) de confiance auprès de la fonction comptable et des secteurs d'activité. Elle remet en question les hypothèses, valide les résultats et veille à l'alignement avec les politiques comptables de l'entreprise et les exigences de divulgation externe, notamment par la révision des états financiers et la préparation des notes afférentes. Ce poste relève du ou de la directeur(trice), Contrôle corporatif, et supervise également une équipe de professionnels des finances.

Principales responsabilités
  • Réviser et contribuer à la préparation des états financiers consolidés et individuels statutaires, des notes complémentaires et des commentaires de gestion accompagnant les états financiers pour toutes les entités juridiques nord-américaines.
  • Diriger et gérer la préparation et la révision des rapports financiers mensuels, trimestriels, semestriels et annuels pour toutes les entités juridiques nord-américaines, y compris les sociétés de portefeuille, destinés au Groupe.
  • Superviser la consolidation des entités nord-américaines afin de garantir l'exactitude, la conformité, l'exhaustivité et l'uniformité des informations financières entre les différentes unités de reporting.
  • Assurer le respect d'échéanciers de production serrés tout en maintenant un niveau élevé de qualité des livrables.
  • Garantir l'exactitude et l'intégrité des données financières grâce à des contrôles rigoureux, des rapprochements et des analyses des écarts, tout en traitant de façon proactive toute anomalie.
  • Veiller à l'exactitude des données de consolidation : balances de vérification, informations à divulguer, commentaires et éliminations intersociétés.
  • Réviser les commentaires préparés sur les états financiers mensuels des unités d'affaires et de l'entreprise, notamment en ce qui concerne les principaux résultats financiers, les écarts et les tendances.
  • Remettre en question les résultats financiers présentés par l'équipe comptable et les partenaires d'affaires afin de valider l'exactitude des résultats, l'exhaustivité des charges à payer et estimations, ainsi que la pertinence des jugements et hypothèses utilisés.
  • Collaborer avec les autres services et unités d'affaires afin de recueillir et d'analyser les résultats financiers consolidés, d'identifier les principales tendances, variations et informations stratégiques permettant de soutenir la prise de décision.
  • Déceler de manière proactive les incohérences, les risques et les transactions inhabituelles et s'assurer que les enjeux sont résolus avant la production des rapports financiers. Veiller à la documentation adéquate des écarts entre les politiques comptables locales nord-américaines et les exigences des états financiers consolidés mondiaux.
  • Maintenir et améliorer les contrôles liés à l'information financière (documentation, processus de révision et préparation aux audits).
  • Soutenir les audits internes et externes en veillant à ce que la documentation et les explications fournies soient rigoureuses, complètes et défendables.
  • Fournir une expertise sur les transactions complexes ou non courantes, en étroite collaboration avec les équipes d'affaires et les équipes financières du Groupe, afin d'assurer la conformité aux normes comptables et aux objectifs organisationnels. Collaborer également à la mise en œuvre de nouvelles normes comptables.
  • Diriger, encadrer et développer l'équipe responsable des activités de consolidation et de reporting financier. Établir des attentes claires en matière de qualité, de responsabilisation et d'amélioration continue. Favoriser une culture d'appropriation, de rigueur et d'esprit critique.
  • Réviser la préparation de divers formulaires gouvernementaux et sondages sectoriels.
  • Soutenir et collaborer avec les différents services de finance afin d'atteindre les objectifs organisationnels et départementaux.
  • Assurer l'intégrité du mappage du plan comptable entre les niveaux local et Groupe, en maintenant la cohérence et l'exactitude des hiérarchies comptables et des rapports internes.


Exigences du poste
  • Titre comptable professionnel (CPA, CA ou équivalent) et baccalauréat en comptabilité.
  • Minimum de 10 années d'expérience en comptabilité et au moins 5 années d'expérience à un niveau de gestion, acquises en audit externe et/ou au sein d'une entreprise manufacturière ou d'une société cotée en bourse (atout).
  • Excellente connaissance des PCGR (GAAP), des IFRS et des autres normes applicables en matière d'information financière.
  • Excellentes habiletés de communication avec les parties prenantes et les membres de l'équipe.
  • Solides compétences en analyse, en organisation et en communication; capacité à travailler efficacement avec divers services et des équipes internationales.

Job Summary

The Manager, Financial Reporting & Compliance is a key leadership role within the finance function, responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial reporting across North American operations. This role provides oversight of consolidated reporting processes and acts as the final level of review and control prior to submission to the Group, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Group accounting manual, and any regulatory reporting requirements.

The role leads a team and serves as a trusted advisor to both the accounting function and the business, challenging assumptions, validating results, and ensuring alignment with the company's accounting policies and external reporting requirements, including the review of financial statements and preparation of disclosure notes. This position reports to the Director, Corporate Controller, and also manages a team of finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and assist in the completion of the consolidated and individual statutory financial statements, accompanying note disclosures and management commentary to financial statements for all NA legal entities.
  • Lead and manage the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reporting process for all North American legal entities, including holding companies, submitted to the Group
  • Oversee the consolidation of North American entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, completeness, and consistency across reporting units
  • Ensure adherence to tight reporting timelines while maintaining high-quality deliverables
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through robust controls, reconciliations, and variance analysis, proactively addressing discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate consolidation data: trial balances, disclosures, commentary, and intercompany eliminations.
  • Review prepared commentary on monthly financial statements by business units and company including key financial results, variances, and trends
  • Challenge both the accounting team and business stakeholders on accuracy of financial results, completeness of accruals and estimates, appropriateness of judgments and assumptions
  • Coordinate with other departments and business units to gather and analyse consolidated financial results, identifying key trends, variances, and insights to support decision-making.
  • Proactively identify inconsistencies, risks, and unusual transactions, ensuring issues are resolved prior to reporting. Ensure proper documentation of any differences between NA local accounting policy and the Global financial statement packages.
  • Maintain and enhance financial reporting controls (including documentation, review processes, and audit readiness)
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation and explanations are robust and defensible
  • Provide expert guidance on complex and non-routine transactions in close collaboration with the business and Group finance teams, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and organizational objectives. Partner with the Group on the implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for reporting and consolidation activities. Set clear expectations for quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Foster a culture of ownership, rigor, and professional skepticism.
  • Review the completion of various government forms and industry surveys
  • Support and collaborate with various finance departments to drive organizational and department goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the integrity of chart of accounts mapping between local and group levels, maintaining consistency and accuracy in hierarchies and internal reports.


Job Requirements
  • Professional Accountant (i.e. CPA - CA) with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 10 years accounting experience and at least 5 years management level experience in external audit and/or a manufacturing and publicly reported company (an asset).
