Job Summary

This role is at the hub of Insulet’s FPA activity and will work to bring together elements of Strategy, Commercial, Operations and other data in order to provide focused and clear reporting and analysis to constituents including the Board of Directors, Leadership Team and Investor Relations.  The position will ensure reporting from the FP&A group is prepared timely and with precision while being informative and insightful.  This position reports to the VP FP&A, Corporate & Strategy.

Position Overview:

This role is at the hub of Insulet’s FPA activity and will work to bring together elements of Strategy, Commercial, Operations and other data in order to provide focused and clear reporting and analysis to constituents including the Board of Directors, Leadership Team and Investor Relations.  The position will ensure reporting from the FP&A group is prepared timely and with precision while being informative and insightful.  This position reports to the VP FP&A, Corporate & Strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:  Create and distribute the financial reporting that is necessary to measure the financial results and guide future business decisions for Insulet.  This includes monthly and quarterly financial packages that track trends and performance of sales, costs, expenses, and other critical metrics.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:   Coordinate global process around budgeting and forecasting to ensure timely delivery of final budgets and forecasts.
  • Process & Design Improvement:  Design and implement processes and procedures to streamline data gathering and reporting in support of Board of Director, Leadership team, Investor Relations, and others.  Identify opportunities and technologies including robotic process automation to streamline reporting processes and lead teams to capitalize on the opportunities identified.
  • Champion for Reporting Tools:   Drive better usage and reporting compliance within the Company’s Planful reporting tool.  Document and develop KPI manual.
  • Financial Analysis & Consulting:  Provide analysis and tools, as necessary, to support key decisions in the company.
  • Special Projects:  Work on specific unique projects which may call for reporting and analysis skills, including continuous improvement activities.
  • Teamwork and Training:  The person in this role should work well with the various team members in the department and the broader Insulet community. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • 7+ years’ experience in global finance organizations including 3+ years of financial planning and analysis experience in a global growth-oriented manufacturing company, with exposure to foreign currencies a plus.
  • Proven ability to learn new accounting & reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to complete task with accuracy and attention to detail

             

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication, presence, and relationship building skills at senior levels, with the ability to interpret and summarize data to aid management in achieving strategic and operational goals.
  • Systems savvy - experience with Planful reporting tools is a plus.
  • Excellent MS Office skills are required.
  • Able to synthesize and analyze large quantities of data to create useful information and concise analyses.
  • Experience with robotic process automation preferred.
  • Able to effectively manage projects; results oriented and able to roll-up the sleeves in order to accomplish necessary tasks.
  • Able to work in a fast pace, high-growth environment.
  • Has highest standards of integrity reflected in all external and internal communications.
  • Self-motivated, high energy, respectful, honest, hard-working and loyal team.

Physical Requirements:

  • General office environment, may sit for long periods of time.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required up to 5% of the time.

Additional Information:

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $111,600.00 - $167,400.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
