Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Retirement Plan Administration
• Manage the day-to-day administration of Nexstar's qualified and non-qualified retirement programs, including pension and 401(k) plans.
• Partner with actuaries, auditors, trustees, recordkeepers, and third-party administrators to support retirement plan operations.
• Monitor plan compliance with applicable IRS, DOL, ERISA, and PBGC regulations.
• Assist with annual audits, Form 5500 filings, actuarial valuations, and government reporting requirements.
Governance & Committee Management
• Prepare and maintain Retirement Committee presentation materials and meeting schedules.
• Coordinate agendas, supporting documentation, and communications for Retirement Committee meetings.
• Track committee decisions and ensure appropriate follow-up on approved actions.
Benefits & Compensation Support
• Support the financial oversight of employee benefits programs.
• Assist in compensation planning initiatives, salary administration, market benchmarking, and annual compensation review processes.
• Analyze compensation and benefits data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop reports and presentations for Finance, Human Resources, and executive leadership teams.
• Ensure compensation and retirement plan processes align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting for retirement and benefits programs.
• Monitor funding obligations, benefit payment activity, and plan expenses.
• Support accounting and finance teams with pension and benefit-related financial disclosures and reporting requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with internal HR and payroll teams to ensure seamless administration of retirement and compensation programs.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives designed to enhance efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration, pension accounting, benefits finance, compensation, or related area.
• Experience managing pension plans, 401(k) plans, and retirement plan compliance activities.
• Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS, DOL, and PBGC regulations.
• Experience working with actuarial consultants, auditors, trustees, and third-party administrators.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strict confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
• CPA, CEBS, ASPPA, QKA, QPA, CFP, or similar professional designation preferred.
• Experience within a public company or large multi-location organization.
• Knowledge of executive compensation and equity-based programs is a plus.
• Experience with pension plans.

Compensation: $120k-$140k annualized, commensurate with applicant's experience and skill level.
