Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related field
  • Professional certification required (CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE, CHST, or STSC)
  • 10-15+ years of experience in EHS Construction Management
  • 5+ years of experience in specific project scopes (ATF, DTC, BLS)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and coordination skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital safety management platforms

Responsibilities

  • Compile and maintain EHS policies and procedures for compliance
  • Manage safety personnel and related team members
  • Identify safety training requirements for Regional employees
  • Assist in implementing Company best practices
  • Advise management on EHS issues
  • Support new work pursuits and project starts with safety prequalification
  • Facilitate training and promote safety awareness for an incident-free workplace
  • Audit workplaces for compliance and successful safety culture

The EHS Manager works with and advises project leadership and field personnel ensuring
implementation of the company's Incident Free Workplace Culture.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Compiles and maintains Health, Environmental, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with legislative and Company requirements
  • Manages Company safety related employees and personnel
  • Identifies safety related training requirements for all designated Regional employees
  • Assists in implementing Company Global Best Practice / Best Known Methods
  • Provides advice to Company management regarding EHS issues
  • Assists Management with new work pursuits, including preparing safety prequalification and client presentations
  • Assists Management with new project start up
  • Assists in design and implementation of safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions, utilizing knowledge of engineering technology, industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, industrial health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Supports and advises project management in the effective implementation of EHS policies and procedures
  • Facilitate training as necessary
  • Facilitates the Company objective of maintaining an "Incident Free Workplace", promoting safety awareness and ownership in the designated Region
  • Maintains contact and coordinates with client safety organizations
  • Develops project safety plans and specifications
  • Ensures project management risk assessments and activity related hazards are completed
  • Undertakes formal auditing of Company workplaces to gauge compliance with Company EHS policies and procedures. Audits for a successful safety culture
  • Report on project KPIs
  • Manage EHS document control
  • Is involved with design safety as needed
  • All duties are not inclusive


Show your expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, Environmental, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or an applied science field preferred
  • Must have one of the following Professional Certifications/License: -
    -Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
    -Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
    -Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
    -Professional Engineer License (PE)
    -Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
    -Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC)
  • 10 - 15+ years of experience in EHS Construction Management
  • 5+ years of experience in the project scop i.e., ATF, DTC, BLS
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and coordination skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
  • Familiarity with digital platforms, ACC, DMCS, Avetta, ISN, Veriforce, Highwire etc.
