Job Title: Manager, Costing - UGG Footwear
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Costing - UGG Footwear
Location: Goleta, CA (Hybrid)
Typically 3 times per week in office, Tuesday - Thursday
The RoleAs Costing Manager for UGG Footwear, you play a critical role in ensuring brand profitability and margin expectations are met. You'll lead cross-functional teams, manage the product costing process from concept to final samples, and negotiate with partner factories and suppliers to achieve seasonal margin targets. Your expertise in financial analysis, scenario planning, and costing awareness will drive decisions that capitalize on opportunities, increase profitability, and bring value to our products.
Your Impact- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure brand profitability and margin expectations are met
- Manage product costing process and business margin planning from brief stage to final salesman samples
- Negotiate with partner factories and suppliers to meet seasonal brand target margin using manufacturing and product knowledge
- Perform financial analysis and scenario planning for cross-functional teams to drive decisions and increase profitability
- Partner with Development team to build and manage seasonal tooling budget
- Build seasonal pre-costing for Development and Product teams to ensure new product development is commercial
- Create costing reports, providing visibility to Product and Development leadership on cost estimates, margin, sourcing, and trade agreements
- Build costing awareness across teams by training partners on cost drivers, margin impact, costing tools, and seasonal decision points
- Manage, mentor, coach, and develop Costing Analysts or related team members
Who You Are- Bachelor's degree preferred with an emphasis on Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
- 5+ years of product costing experience in footwear
- Strong Excel & Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with FlexPLM or similar system
- In-depth knowledge of product construction and manufacturing
- Understanding of product costing with ability to mentor junior team members
- Strategic thinker and creative problem solver who proactively researches and drives collective resolution
- Ability to lead projects from beginning to implementation
- Maintains a high level of integrity, remains flexible, is results-oriented, and works productively within a matrix organization
- Comfortable working in an environment of ambiguity
