 Our ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with effective communication and stakeholder management skills and has experience with financial analysis, treasury analysis and reconciliations with strong Excel, SQL, and Power BI skills. Coding in Python would be an asset.

The Enterprise Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) team within Corporate Treasury is seeking an experienced professional to support the production, analysis, and ongoing enhancement of the Bank's Funds Transfer Pricing framework.

The successful candidate will:

  • Support the production, analysis, and ongoing enhancement of Funds Transfer Pricing methodologies and processes.
  • Build, own, and maintain dashboards in Power BI.
  • Gain understanding of upstream data and processes by partnering with Finance, Technology, and other groups.
  • Perform testing and impact assessments of methodology, data and QRM system configuration changes.
  • Perform analysis and present FTP insights to stakeholders.
  • Support the production processes to generate timely and accurate FTP rates and dollar charges.

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Funds Transfer Pricing methodologies and related Treasury concepts to support business and finance partners.

  • Facilitate discussions with business and finance partners to quantify and explain the FTP results.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations, analysis, and reporting that translate complex information into clear business insights.

  • Independently lead ad-hoc analysis and drive change to adapt FTP methodology according to the evolving business requirements.

  • Stay informed of global market trends and recommend enhancements to the FTP methodology.

  • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.

  • Design dashboards and analyses to be performed, and appropriate visualization and analytics tools to use.

  • Work with other data and analytics professionals to optimize, refine, automate and scale analysis into repeatable analytics solutions and decision support tools.

  • Build various reporting dashboards using the most appropriate data extraction, data cleaning and data visualisation techniques.

  • Provide value through insights, reporting and data visualization techniques. Selects, configures, and implements analytics solutions for consistency and repeatability.

  • Develop data visualizations of "large" amounts of data that facilitate the intuitive presentation of data to decision makers.

  • Document data flow, systems, and processes to improve the design, implementation, and management of business/group processes

  • Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.

  • Recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.

  • Coordinate the management of databases; ensure alignment and integration of data in adherence with data governance standards.

  • Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

  • Work independently and regularly manage non-routine situations requiring judgment, analysis, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Typically between 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, or similar analytical functions.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, SQL, Dashboards development (e.g., Power BI).

  • Knowledge of Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) is desirable.

  • Working experience in a Finance environment with exposure to one or more of the following: Risk management, financial market products and pricing, Balance Sheet / Asset Liability management.

  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth.

  • Influence skills - In-depth.

Salary:

$75,900.00 - $141,900.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
