Position Overview
You are a Corporate Restructuring professional ready to work at the centre of complex, high stakes restructuring mandates. As a Manager in our Corporate Restructuring practice, you lead critical client relationships and work closely nationally recognized insolvency leaders on some of the most impactful files across British Columbia. You bring a strong client focus and an entrepreneurial edge, you thrive in collaborative teams, and are motivated by building, whether that's a practice, future leaders, or your own career path. There's no pre-set roadmap here, your leadership, perspective, and ambition help define what comes next.

As Manager, Restructuring, your responsibilities include:
Service Delivery:
• Managing a complex corporate restructuring portfolio, and in so doing, effectively manage engagement files, including overseeing a professional, technical, and administrative team
• Evaluating complex business issues and formulate recommendations for the Court and various stakeholders to maximize creditor recoveries, while maintaining the business viability where possible.
• Stakeholder communication and negotiation - effectively interact with stakeholders with diverse interests on file engagements (creditors, debtors, lawyers, lenders, etc.) for creditors and legal inquiries
• Financial Oversight - Tracking project progress, milestones, and deadlines, reviewing invoices, preparing payments and handling trust account duties; preparing summary of receipts and disbursements for trust accounts
• Ad Hoc projects utilizing your accounting skills and business acumen in a variety of unique, challenging, one-off, real-time assignments

Business Development:
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with other corporate restructuring professionals including lawyers, regulators, investors and representatives of lending institutions. Actively participate in industry organizations, events, firm marketing initiatives generate new corporate restructuring
• Maintaining positive relationships with other corporate restructuring professionals including lawyers and representatives of lending institutions
• Demonstrated client development skills with a focus on building relationships and actively anticipating client and market needs. Enjoys the social aspect of marketing to key targets.
• Nurture alumni connections: Strengthen your professional network by maintaining relationships with alumni.
• Actively participate in professional, industry or community organization events

Education:
• Enrollment in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) Qualification Program in preparation to obtain Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT)
• Completion of a Bachelor's or advanced level degree (Masters) or professional accounting designation (CPA)

Experience and Attributes:
• 3+ years of advisory experience in a Canadian professional services firm, leading and conducting complex corporate restructuring and insolvency proceedings, or equivalent professional experience
• Insolvency Expertise: Possess comprehensive knowledge of insolvency proceedings and ability to attend client sites.
• Financial Acumen: Understands key performance indicators and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in File Acquisition/File Administration and File Closure
• Exceptional communication and writing skills for stakeholder communication, report writing for Court and look-see business overview reports.
• Actively participate in professional, industry or community organizations events
• Expand brand reach: Develop connections with bankers, lawyers, trustees, and other potential referral sources to promote firm
• Ethical Compliance: Uphold the firm's ethical standards and code of conduct for Trustees
• Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to be an active participant in the development of the team and the broader Advisory practice
• Develop solutions with clients and co-workers through collaborative effort and discussion
• Commitment to quality, excellence, and continual professional growth for yourself and for those you lead
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including exceptional interpersonal skills to earn the trust and confidence of clients and colleagues at all levels and influence decision-makers

To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $89,000-$135,000 in Vancouver. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
