The OpportunityAs Manager of Corporate Communications at FICO, you'll shape the narrative for our Software business - balancing 75% software communications with 25% Impact work that connects our technology and leadership to fraud awareness and prevention.
On the Software side, you'll drive integrated comms strategies, support executive thought leadership across earned and owned media, and move fluidly between product launches, proactive angles, newsjacking, and event positioning - pitching media, securing executive speakerships, and staffing the partnerships and announcements that matter.
On the Impact side, you'll connect FICO's software story to its community mission - shaping narratives for both B2B partners and B2C consumers, and translating how our technology advances fraud prevention and positions FICO as a data science leader and steward of data science in higher education.
This role demands strong media instincts, proven skill tailoring strategies by audience, and the confidence to navigate product teams, regions, legal, and executives with different leadership styles.
What You'll Contribute- Support and execute integrated comms strategies for our software business and the evolution of our platform story.
- Support executive thought leadership including intake calls, pitch development, prep and on-site support at events and conferences, social media.
- Draft and support press releases, Q&As, talking points, and executive briefing materials; contribute to shaping media strategies.
- Engage with media, handle urgent media requests, staff interviews, and push/pitch FICO news.
- Support content creation, including blog posts and executive bylines, and content pipeline management.
- Assist in managing external PR agency projects and deadlines, delegating appropriately.
- Secure, coordinate, prepare spokespeople for, and staff executive interviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and regions - including product, analytics, legal, and marketing - to gather information and ensure accurate media messaging.
- Support partner announcements and advise on external amplification.
- Support awards programs and draft award submissions.
- Monitor technology market trends and identify how FICO's software business should tap into them to drive relevance and stay ahead.
- Drive the brand's financial empowerment narrative through partner storytelling, executive thought leadership, earned media placements, and community engagement.
- Partner with the Impact team to shape the B2B and B2C narratives around how FICO's software and technology power fraud and scams solutions for partner institutions.
- Draft press releases, materials, talking points, and executive messaging for Impact-related announcements that intersect with the software business.
- Identify and vet events and speaking opportunities that connect FICO's software business mission to its community impact.
- Collaborate with the Impact and broader Corporate Communications teams to keep Impact messaging tied to software consistent across markets.
- Keep a pulse on industry news related to the Impact pillars most relevant to FICO's software and technology narrative.
What We're Seeking- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or extensive work experience in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or communications - preferably in B2B tech and/or financial services.
- Strong writing skills. This role lives in draft work - press releases, strategy documents, memos, pitches, and talking points - with the ability to simplify complex topics and move seamlessly between technical, business, and consumer narratives.
- Proven media strategy development. You've shaped and executed integrated media campaigns - pitching angles that stick, staffing interviews effectively, and knowing how reporters across financial, technology, and business outlets actually work.
- Confidence tailoring strategies by audience. B2B and B2C media strategies look nothing alike, and you adjust your messaging, platforms, and approach accordingly without losing the core narrative.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and a willingness to grow and take ownership of projects.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple drafts, deadlines, and stakeholders in parallel.
- Comfortable working across teams and leadership styles. You engage senior leaders with strategic confidence, influence key decisions through stakeholder education, and work with humility and hands-on ownership across product, legal, finance, and marketing teams - each with different priorities and communication styles.

- The targeted base pay range for this role is: $81,900 to $128,700 with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills and experience.
