The Financial Close Controller team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager to be a part of the Controller organization's transformative journey towards becoming trusted and valued business partner delivering Financial Results in an entirely new way through best in class people, processes and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead special project for the end-to-end design, documentation and implementation of finance processes required to deliver transitory finance activities with external parties
  • Lead and support the financial close process, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial results while maintaining a strong control environment and reporting requirements
  • Analyze and present financial information to drive value-add decision-making
  • Provide guidance on new transactions, projects, processes and accounting standards while maintaining strong governance and controls
  • Review, analyze and summarize accounting for contracts, policies and complex transactions
  • Drive transformation of financial close activities through process optimization, centralization, automation, and the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, data quality, and reporting capabilities, partnering with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Lead and support strategic projects and organizational transformation initiatives.


Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
  • CPA designation or equivalent finance experience is considered an asset.

Experience
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in similar accounting role.
  • Practical experience in project management, process design, and transitory service delivery is an asset.

Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with SAP FI, SAP BI, or similar financial systems is considered an asset.
  • Experience with automation, AI, machine learning, or data analytics tools is an asset.
  • Proficiency in process mapping, workflow design, and interaction models

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional deliverables
  • Support a culture of innovation - a personal interest in upskilling in latest digital and technology trends

  • Ability to operate effectively in an evolving transaction environment, balancing immediate delivery requirements with the design of sustainable end-state processes


Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
