Manager, Co-brand and Strategic Partnerships
The Manager, Co-brand and Strategic Partnerships position will help drive Capital One’s new partner acquisition strategy. The ideal candidate will influence Capital One’s business development strategy for new partnerships, and lead the translation of that strategy into successful identification and recruitment of partners. The Manager will be a key team member in support of Capital One’s overall enterprise strategy and will work closely with other areas of Capital One to bring an integrated perspective to the analysis. These areas will include the business lines, corporate strategy, finance and legal departments.
Detailed responsibilities will include:
Build and foster relationships with target businesses and partners
Perform marketplace and industry analyses with the goal of identifying and evaluating opportunities
Work across the organization to develop and consolidate a tailored pitch strategy, including:
Spearheading company research and development of insights
Working across teams to develop a point of view around the overarching partnership proposal and consumer value proposition
Managing internal and external teams, including strategies and materials for each round of an RFP, including written and verbal presentations
Assist with transitioning newly-won business from the business development team to our vertical business units
Developing presentation materials that effectively summarize strategic and financial analysis and key takeaways associated with an opportunity
Writing and delivering communications to executive audiences
The ideal candidate should possess:
Demonstrated success with project management, including ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
Advanced communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of analytical rigor and attention to detail
Interest or experience with the banking or payments industries
Business modelling and research expertise
Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
Team player with a positive attitude
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of experience in credit card strategic partnerships, business analysis, or a combination
At least 3 years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, or a combination
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years experience in credit card strategic partnerships, business analysis, or a combination
4+ years experience in leading cross-functional projects

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Corporate Development
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
