Your key responsibilities

As a Capital Markets Manager, you will play a pivotal role in growing our Capital Markets practice. You will bring the vision of the future of Capital Markets to life through business development activities such as developing thought leadership, preparing client proposals, and organizing go-to-market campaigns. Your responsibilities include generating new business opportunities by building a strong network across the Capital Markets sector and delivering innovative solutions to clients' most complex challenges.

You will lead workstreams and projects to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets. Representing EY on client sites, you will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, providing insights and connecting them to EY's broad range of offerings. You will motivate and develop a diverse team, inspiring them to exceed their potential while establishing a strong foundation in Capital Markets products, functions, processes, and emerging trends such as digital assets and AI.

You will foster a professional environment that differentiates EY from competitors and supports the growth of junior talent, helping them build lasting careers with the firm.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with deep knowledge of Capital Markets trade flows (front, middle, back office), risk management, digital assets, data, technology, regulatory compliance, market infrastructure, and Capital Markets products.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills to articulate complex concepts and assessments clearly.

To Qualify for the Role You Must Have
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in the Capital Markets industry, ideally gained through a top-tier consultancy, specialist financial services consultancy, or within a leading bank or market infrastructure provider.
  • Demonstrated Understanding of front-to-back Capital Markets operations and their evolving relationship with technology, such as automation and AI-driven processes, digital assets and regulatory technology (RegTech), reflecting the major trends shaping the industry in Capital Markets transformation.
  • Proven experience managing or leading teams and projects, with strong project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Tech-savviness and willingness to learn and apply relevant tools and software.
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, and client service skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in advisory roles within financial services.
  • Availability to travel as needed within and outside of Canada and flexibility to work beyond standard hours when necessary

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
