Overview

Reporting to the Director, Professional Development & Learning, this manager-level position leads the design, delivery and evaluation of technology-focused learning programs that support lawyer and business professional development, with a focus on shaping and advancing the Firm's generative artificial intelligence (AI) strategy. The successful candidate will combine learning strategy, instructional design, facilitation, adoption, change management, stakeholder engagement, and team and vendor coordination to help employees build the skills, confidence and judgement required to work effectively in an evolving digital workplace.

The ideal candidate is a strong learning professional and people leader who is passionate about innovation, curious about emerging technologies and skilled at translating complex concepts into practical, user-focused learning experiences that drive adoption and business impact.

  • Responsibilities

    Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Leading the design, development and delivery of engaging instructor-led, virtual and self-directed learning programs on generative AI and other Firm technologies
    • Advancing AI and technology adoption strategy through training, awareness campaigns, learning resources, communities of practice and ongoing support
    • Facilitating technology and AI training sessions for lawyers, students, business professionals and new hires across all offices
    • Acting as a strategic learning partner to the Information Technology and Innovation teams, practice groups, business services teams and other stakeholders to identify learning needs and develop targeted solutions
    • Overseeing the creation and maintenance of learning materials including guides, job aids, videos, FAQs, quick reference resources and e-learning modules, while developing role-based learning pathways and technology curricula that support onboarding, upskilling, responsible AI use and continuous learning
    • Supporting technology implementations and upgrades through vendor-led training, communications, coaching, change management plans and just-in-time learning to support individuals and groups adopting new technologies and AI-enabled tools
    • Measuring learning effectiveness through participant feedback, usage metrics, assessments and adoption data, and providing recommendations for continuous improvements
    • Contributing to the broader Professional Development & Learning initiatives by monitoring emerging generative AI and technology trends, managing learning content and vendor-led programs, and leading projects that support Firm-wide learning priorities
  • Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Business, Information Technology or a related field is required
    • Minimum of seven years of experience designing and delivering professional training programs in a corporate, professional services, legal or consulting environment, including experience leading learning initiatives or programs
    • Experience facilitating both in-person and virtual learning programs for senior, professional and cross-functional audiences
    • Experience supporting technology adoption, digital transformation or change management initiatives
    • Experience with generative AI tools, legal technology tools or AI-enabled workplace technologies is strongly preferred
    • Experience using learning management systems, e-learning development tools and learning analytics is an asset

    • Strong instructional design capabilities and understanding of adult learning principles
    • Ability to explain technical concepts, including AI-enabled tools, in a simple, practical and relatable manner

  • Compensation

    The anticipated annual salary for the Manager, AI Learning & Adoption position is $110,000 - $135,000. Salary levels will be determined commensurate with internal equity, market equity and experience.
